How I’ll acquire my first customer
Do you know any young parents with new kids? I am interning with a Nationwide Life agent and looking for more leads. Every business will wonder and ask “How will I get my first customer?” Using the leads that I have generated for the past week and marketing resources available, this is how I’ll acquire my first customer.
Step 1: Generate Leads
One of the first steps I took was to generate a leads list with over 300 potential customers.
Step 2: Referrals
Always be on the lookout for referrals. Through SHS, we have been sending out emails asking if they or if someone they know are interested in our products.
Step 3: Online Presence + Social Media
Building an online presence and spreading word on social media. I’ve seen some of InsuredTY’s post and website even before I became an intern. Social media plays a huge role in grasping the attention of anyone as long as we are consistent with our postings. I want to make sure that our website is running smoothly and we continue to post on social media.
Step 4: Attending events
I think this is a great way to not only allow other people to know more about your product but also about theirs. These events are perfect opportunities to build more connections who can be potential customers OR someone who could be helpful in our business.
