Side Hustle Saturday v1 Recap

Last Saturday was our first Side Hustle Saturday for the month of June. We gathered this day to learn more about insurance, teach candidates of the Squarespace platform to create their first blog post, the fundamentals of Hubspot, and the beginning process of marketing emails to promote growth!

Nerdwallet: Learn about Life Insurance

  • The SHS candidates learned more about the specific life insurance they were tasked with through the platform Nerdwallet. Here is an example of a website leadership, however, lacked diversity.

Squarespace. Write a blog

  • The next step we did was Squarespace. We helped teach people the fundamentals of Squarespace and guided them to write a blog about their local neighborhoods that relate to either caring, paid, or remembering work. After that, Tim proofread the articles to make any final adjustments.

SEO. Google Ads

  • Tim and all the SHS candidates talked about what search engine optimization (SEO) is as well as Google advertisements. Tim talked about how one of our articles became #1 on Google when searching.

Hubspot. Inbound Marketing. Outbound Marketing. Marketing Emails

  • Tim talked through the fundamentals of Hubspot Inbound and Outbound Marketing. The SHS candidates discussed which type of format and structuring would be good for marketing emails. Also, there was a debate on which one was more efficient: email or text marketing?
