The first step to getting customers is by generating leads. Through compiling a list of leads, those people can become potential customers.

The second step is to network. Once I’ve acquired a customer, the next step is to work that network to gain more customers. You can ask your first client for a referral so they spread your product out to more people. Meeting other people and groups from your industry to expand your market will help you get more customers. Connecting with existing audiences from your industry will provide you more opportunities to sell your product.


Build a presence

The third step is to build a strong online and in-person presence. Having a good website and social media is crucial for companies in this day and age. You can market to more potential customers online and if your online presence is attractive, then people will check it out. Having a strong presence in-person is important too, as customers want to see a physical office/store that your company operates from.


Team up

Lastly teaming up with other companies or business owners can help get more customers. By teaming up with another business you can help each other generate more leads and spread your product out to more people. You can also get more referrals by interacting with customers from other companies.
