Recap of my internship

In the past 5 weeks I learned a lot. Not only about marketing but also about what life insurance is and why it is important. In my past internships, I’ve focused mainly on social media marketing, so it was an experience to try a bottom up approach with InsuredTY. It was a challenge finding the right people for the target audience but a great learning experience.

To start off, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some visual marketing projects. I like to play around with layouts and graphics in my free time, so I had a lot of fun making the ads and flyers. As for content marketing, I’ve been writing weekly blog posts like this one. I’ve done research on Chinatown businesses and how life insurance works which I learned a lot from.

In addition to marketing tasks, I’ve been taking Hubspot lessons to increase my knowledge and marketing vocabulary to better communicate my ideas. I feels like school work but I love school so it’s all good.

Lastly, I did some in person marketing. Since I never tried this before, I struggled a bit. The task was to find young moms and my first thought was where am I going to go look for that? I don’t know anyone. After brainstorming and going through several ideas, I began to realize that maybe they’re closer than I thought. Check out my next blog to see my marketing/growth strategy.
