Alyssa’s First Two Weeks as a Sales/ Marketing Intern

Hello! My name is Alyssa Herbold, and I am currently an intern here at InsuredTY. Within these past two weeks working with Mr. Yang and my bright coworkers, I have already learned copious amounts of information and new skills. I will dig into my introductory work, and am excited to continue working through the summer with the team at InsuredTY and master new sales and marketing skills.

A) What does my work look like?

Throughout my first two weeks at InsuredTY, I have learned an incredible amount of information regarding insurance. My duties have helped me become a well-versed researcher concerning the insurance industry. I continue to implement my strong writing skills each day, which are only becoming more polished with each assignment.

I completed the Hubspot Course titled “SEO,” or Search Engine Optimization. This course was incredibly informative, and I learned many new marketing techniques while also reviewing my former knowledge. After becoming certified in SEO, I feel confident in my abilities to complete any digital marketing tasks I will have in the future at InsuredTY.

I am able to connect with my coworkers and brainstorm the most effective ways to engage with customers. Through InsuredTY’s social media profiles, we are working to build our following and provide information in an interesting way.

B) My goals while working at InsuredTY

While working at InsuredTY, my main goal is to assist Mr. Yang alongside my coworkers on the mission to provide industry-grade insurance to all families from all backgrounds. I will strive to complete my tasks to the best of my ability, and I look forward to getting the most out of this amazing opportunity.

C) How do I add value to this company?

Currently, I believe that my writing skills have been able to add value to InsuredTY. As a researcher, I am able to collect data from numerous legitimate sources within a set time period, include my own critical analysis of the information, and create a report in my own words. I also believe that my communication skills will benefit this company in future projects I will be assigned. My interpersonal skills are something I take pride in, and I am excited to utilize this skill in the future.
