Jennifer’s Blog #5: SDLC: Testing

SDLC is known as the software development life cycle. This type of system improves quality and saves time efficiently. It breaks down into stages of analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and deployment. My team and I use this type of system to improve efficiency in many aspects of our work.

Through the Trello Board, we broke down our work into sections by Planning, Gathering Requirements, Design, Doing, Testing, and Done. Every start of the week, I am given tasks and will drag the tickets into the designated section they belong in. After the end of the week, I will clean up the board by putting it in the Done section.

Gathering requirements is crucial because it is gathering the necessary materials to formulate potential tickets. This will give an idea of what tasks need to be accomplished that week which will lead to efficient productivity.

Design steps that I have taken were creating the Remembering Board, as well as helping others create their own!

Every shift there is a ticket assigned for that shift. This allows me to focus on that one ticket to make sure it’s done efficiently and effectively.

Skills I need to grow to publish professional-grade work would be my consistency and grammar.
