Jennifer’s Blog #1: Tech Skills I’m Learning as an Intern

Hello everyone! My name is Jennifer Yi, a digital marketing intern at InsuredTY. I completed my first week and began to learn more about how the work is structured, how I add value to this firm, and the goals I want to achieve.

A) Goals for InsuredTY

My goal for this summer is to become more knowledgeable about life insurance. Second, I want to expand my knowledge in my role: digital marketing. Learning about the fundamentals and analytics of marketing will be a great asset. Lastly, I want to build more relationships with people and my co-workers.

B) How I Work

As a digital marketing intern at InsuredTY, I learned a significant amount in the first week. I was able to get certificates in Inbound and Social Media Marketing which gave me insight into the agile methodology. The agile methodology helped me organize how we plan, design, and complete tasks at InsuredTY. I learned several mobile applications, such as Trello and Slack.

C) How I add Value

I add value to InsuredTY by bringing my knowledge and experience about social media marketing, sales, and branding. I also add value by providing knowledge about my community to help with data analysis.
