Life insurance is at times overseen as many people feel that it may be unnecessary. However, term life coverage should be a necessity for everyone as it allows you to pay premiums overtime to support a designated beneficiary. The purpose of life insurance is to designate a sum of money over time that will prepare family members for one’s passing. Although, death may not be something that can be prepared for in every instance, life insurance will allow your family members to gain a pay out which can assist them with their needs. It is important for everyone to first understand the important of life insurance as it is not always talked about to them learn the terms and benefit plans. Through market research, it was learned that many Indian moms specifically, were unsure about their own term life because they were not that knowledgeable on what exactly their coverage was.

Indian Moms with Life Insurance

Many times with corporate level jobs, companies will offer life insurance plans to their employees however for those parents that may not be working corporate level jobs, it is still important to understand life insurance and buy it. Life insurance is better planned for when you purchase it early on rather than buying it too late because life insurance compiles overtime as you continue to pay premiums. If you purchase life insurance at a time where you have an income and have access to learn more about the terms, it will be more favorable to your beneficiary if you buy life insurance as soon as possible. There is a stigma around life insurance as it so directly relates to death however this is a great way to prepare those around you to life without a primary income.

Marketing Strategy

We hope to reach the Indian mom market through Facebook ads first. There is a great deal of Indian-American moms that use Facebook daily therefore, it is a great way to catch their eye and hopefully get them interested in purchasing life insurance. The purpose of these ads is to get Indian moms to click on the ad itself which will take them to the InsuredTY website in which they can learn more about term life as well as insurance plans.

Marketing Channels

There are many ways to reach your client base and you have to pick the one the speaks to them the best. With life insurance, it can be difficult to attract customers and grab their attention.

  • Cold Email: The first step in this process is to create a network of potential customers that are believed to be the best fit for the product and introduce yourself to them. With an email, you can greet them and give them more information on your product and mission.

  • Facebook Ads: Next, we used facebook ads with colors and pictures that are appealing to the eye and target customers. This will increase their attention to the company and hopefully their interaction as well. These ads are designed to be quick and easy to understand while still providing customers with a base knowledge of what they can gain from this product. In this case, we chose to use pictures of Indian families with target words such as “protect Indian moms” to help them understand that we are appealing to their needs.

  • Sponsorships: Another way we want to market our products is through sponsorship. When you provide people with incentives, they are more likely to respond and show interest. We have created a plan to sponsor Indian events that show promise in expanding out clientele to reach new people and hopefully lead them to want to learn more about InsuredTY and what it offers.
